QHYCCD SDK FOR WINDOWS / Re: QHY CFW3 firmware source code?
« on: June 14, 2021, 12:44:51 PM »
Hi,
Thanks a lot for your work  :)

I'll defenetly try your version, but can you please answer two questions?

1) If i chouse "Unidirectional", the wheel will move forward, thats correct ?

2) If i don't wanna apply any backlash, the value in both Backlash F and B should be 0 ?

In other words, If i unckeck the "Unidirectional" option and left both backlash boxes at 0, the wheel will work as it works with the original firmeware ?

Thanks once more

HI,

As far as i know, the native driver for QHYCFW3 in N.I.N.A works only in 4-pin mode. If you use the USB mode on your QHYCFW3 (by powering it with an external power supply), i think that you can choose the native driver for your cam and ASCOM for your wheel.

But for especific configurations and use of N.I.N.A. my advise it's to ask in they discord group.

Great :)

Thank you very much.

Can you tell if this option is being considered in the near future? If not, is there any chance that the QHY team will let me change the Firmware and the ASCOM Driver to implement this funcion?

Thanks

Hello,

Sorry for using your topic, but I was opening a new one with the same question.

If someone can, please take a look at the attachment, I believe that what is causing this issue is a not perfect wheel (re) center, and I think that changing the filter always in the same direction can be much better.

Thank you very much

Hello, I have the wheel connected through that power cord and so far it works very wel.

My "problem" it's that every time i need to turn on the computer in my observatory, i have to be sure to power on the equipment before turn on the computer or i hear that noise. But if it's normal, no problem at all :)

OK, working with 12v and 1 amp.

But now i have a problem. If i turn on the computer without power on the 12v power supply (filter wheel connected only from USB), i hear a loud noise. I think it's the motor trying to run but it can't due low power supply. It's normal ?

Connecting the QHYCFW3 to a external power supply, I believe the minimum voltage it's 12v ( or can be less ?). Can i connect it to a 13.8V power supply?
About the amperage, wath's the minnimum working amperage ?

Thank you very much

Hi,

I'm sorry but i don't think that the problem it's on the N.I.N.A's side at all. I've used some filter wheel ASCOM drivers, i've write a couple of them myself, and i've never seen this behavior.

A think that i can't use EZCAP with ASCOM drivers, so i cannot test with it.

Is the ASCOM drivers source code avaliable somewere ?

Thank you very much

New Camera Information / Problem Guiding with QHY6
« on: February 09, 2012, 05:25:53 AM »
Hello,

I’m sorry about my English

I have one QHY6 about a year ago, and never have any problems.  I use it only for guiding, via ST4, with Maxim Driver and the EQ6 mount.

About two weeks ago, I’m starting having problems.  The calibration routine always fails, just because the mount doesn’t move.   I cannot guide via ST4 on PHD either .

I try successfully guiding via EQMOD (PulseGuide).

I already change the guide cable (pin-to-pin), but the problem remains.  Can someone help ?

Perhaps it’s a Driver problem. Which driver must use for guide via ST4?  I have the ASCOM 5.5 installed.

Thanks

Nuno Gameiro
