QHY5L-ll Problem

QHY5L-ll Problem
« on: November 01, 2013, 06:10:28 AM »

I am using my QHY5L-ll Colour as a guide camera. All latest drivers installed and working fine. However, an issue I am having is that, when connected to MaximDL, if I choose to adjust the camera gain in the Ascom Properties window I only get a half-frame image (see attached). Sometimes I only get a quarter-frame image. As a work around, I have to disconnect all my cameras (including my QHY8L imaging camera) and re-connect. Obviously, this is not ideal. any suggestions on how to fix properly?

Thanks for any assistance.

Do you try the EZPlanetary and how about the results of it?

Best regards,

Hi Mr QiuHY,

I have tried with EZPlanetary and all appears to work OK.

I have tried again with MaximDL with the following results:

QHY8L as Camera 1 and QHY5L-ll as Camera 2
When cameras are first connected I can repeat the problem indefinitely.
If I disconnect the cameras and then reconnect them, all works fine. The problem only appears the first time the cameras are connected. If I close and then restart MaximDL, the problem occurs on first connect of the cameras. If I disconnect the cameras and then reconnect them, all works fine.

QHY5L-ll as Camera 1 with "None" selected as Camera 2
If I try an exposure on Camera 1, I get the following error message: "An invalid parameter was passed to the plug-in driver. (-3)".

I hope you can help to fix this problem.

Many thanks
