I had a very trying experience using Optolong unmounted 36mm filters with the QHY filter wheel... After installing the filters in the filter wheel, flats for each filter were taken. The included jpg files are all using the Ha filter. See attached. There are two flat files, one taken without a filter mask, one with and two data files, one of SH2-101 (without filter mask) and one of SH2-162 (with filter mask). I initially thought I had defective filters from Optolong, purchased from High Point Scientific. I requested a RMA from High Point, explaining the situation. No response, awesome customer service. As I tore the system back down to re-package the filters, I noticed fit between the filter and wheel was rather sloppy. In addition, the Optolong filters are not edge coated, so I wondered if I had a light leak. As QHY does not offer filter masks, I purchased from ASI ZWO and installed. Captured flats again and then SH2-162. Problem solved.
